Saffee Leaves MIBR Main Roster

Esports organization MIBR has officially announced changes to its Counter-Strike 2 lineup. Sniper Rafael “saffee” Costa has been moved out of the main roster and will now serve as a substitute. The information was uploaded on the club's social networking sites.

The Brazilian AWPer signed with MIBR in the summer of 2023 and had an immense impact playing with the team. The team accomplished ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024, top-four at ESL Pro League Season 20, and visited two Majors while saffee played with the team. During this time, saffee boasted an astronomical 1.08 rating, which speaks volumes about his consistency as a core player.

Aside from these triumphs, the organization chose to overhaul the roster. The replacement for saffee is still not disclosed, and fans eagerly await the next news. Until then, the AWPer will remain within the club as an alternative, with the option left open for eventual time at MIBR or trade to another team.

MIBR's upcoming competitive games are played on ESL Challenger League Season 50: Cup #2 in South America. The tournament begins on September 8, where 24 teams fight for a prize pool of $17,500 and qualification for regional finals.
