All ABout BLAST Premier Spring Showdown - Hellcase Blog

Only a few days remain until we witness sixteen great CS:GO teams competing at two BLAST Premier Spring Showdown tournaments: European & American. Let’s find out the details about participating teams, dates, and where to watch upcoming matches.

Both tournaments will be held online from March 29th to April 2nd. In each, eight teams will be fighting for a $67,500 prize pool and a ticket to the Blast Premier Spring Final 2023.

Here is the list of the teams that will play in the European tournament :

BLAST European tournament

Of all these teams, only fnatic received a direct invitation to participate in the Showdown. OG, BIG, and Ninjas in Pyjamas qualified for the event due to their results in January’s BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023.

Cloud9 and 9INE qualified for the Showdown by winning RES Eastern & Western European Masters Spring. Rare Atom won 5E Arena Asian Cup Spring, and Copenhagen Flames won Pelaajat Nordic Masters to get here.

These are the teams that will participate in the American tournament :

BLAST American tournament

Unlike in the European tournament, three teams were invited directly to the American one, and three more got their spot based on their results in Spring Groups. FURIA, MIBR, and paiN received an invite from BLAST, whilst Complexity, Liquid, and EG qualified from Spring Groups.

Imperial secured their spot at the American Spring Showdown by winning TG Masters Spring, and Nouns qualified by placing first at the Ace North American Masters Spring.

The format of both tournaments is Single Elimination, meaning there will be no Group Stage and no Lower Bracket.
