Invites Announced for IEM Chengdu 2025
Tournament organizer ESL has officially revealed the full list of teams that have received direct invitations to the prestigious IEM Chengdu 2025 Counter-Strike 2 championship. The event will take place in November this year and will bring together 16 of the world’s best teams on one stage.
According to the organizers, invitations were distributed based on the current Valve rankings. Among the invited are giants such as Vitality, MOUZ, Team Spirit, Falcons, and NAVI. Other top teams, which in recent months have been consistently demonstrating high-level performance on the international stage, will also take part.
The tournament format will be the standard IEM format and will be held in two stages. In the group stage, teams will be divided into groups and will play a Double Elimination (GSL system) format. All the matches are to be played in BO3, with the top three teams in each group advancing to the playoffs. Group winners will receive direct entry into the semifinals, while teams that finish second and third will start from the quarterfinals.
Playoffs will be run Single Elimination style. Quarterfinals and semifinals are BO3, and the grand final is a BO5, so there will be a hard battle until the final round.
IEM Chengdu 2025 will be held in Chengdu, China from November 3 to 9. The championship will feature a $1 million prize pool, making it one of the largest CS2 tournaments of the fall season.
The upcoming event promises fans an excellent show and new pages in the rivalries of the world's strongest teams.
